If you are the employee of a care home or in the voluntary, community or social enterprise sector in City & Hackney, you and your team are eligible for free support. There are several options:
Team training (group of up to 15 people):
Covid-19 Trauma Training – Peer Supporters
Half day session, including comfort breaks

4 sessions of 2 hours per session, including comfort breaks

Suicide Awareness Webinar:
2 hour webinar
Learn practical skills to improve confidence to provide support to someone who is feeling suicidal. Highlights the importance of listening, offers basic do’s and don’ts, and creates a rare and valuable opportunity to talk openly about suicide
Therapeutic and Reflective Groups:
Team reflective supervision (group of up to 6 people): 6 two hour sessions every fortnight. Reflective practice can increase our resilience, skillset and sense of workplace support. This is an open and supportive space to recognise the impact your work has on you. It aims to help you with new ways forward with colleagues and/or clients. A therapist will facilitate the session.
Radical Self Care (group of up to 15 people): 8 two hour weekly sessions designed to support us with the possibility of becoming more accepting, caring and reassuring in our relationship to ourselves when life feels challenging. The theoretical underpinnings are evidence-based approaches such as Mindful Self-Compassion, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Compassion Focused Therapy.
The content will support understanding of difficult emotions, for example anger and shame, and supports participants in managing difficult emotions in more helpful ways. The course supports understanding and enhancing emotion regulation through psychological education and experientially through practices and reflections. The course will utilise psychological education, mindfulness and compassion practices, exercises and reflections.
Counselling (individual):
1:1 Talking Therapy: up to 12 sessions of confidential counselling. You will have an initial assessment to understand more about your needs and aims for therapy and depending on suitability will be matched with a counsellor.
