What it’s about:

  • Providing person-centred, sensitive and culturally appropriate service for participants of the Wellbeing Cafés including one to one checking-in and chat by a staff member or a volunteer with individual participants, who might for whatever reason not feel at ease to join in with the offered activities so they feel they can attend a session even when “ having a bad day” and that they can be themselves in the sessions.
  • Offering activities, information, advice, signposting to other local community services and activities centred around the 5 ways to wellbeing.
  • Tackling wider determinants of health and mental wellbeing by connecting service users to practical support, including food and fuel aid, financial welfare advice and employment support.
  • Creating personalised progression routes for participants to join further community activities, groups, services and learning and volunteering opportunities after they have completed a term at a Wellbeing Café.

Activities will be centred on the Five Ways to Wellbeing, and so will provide you with the opportunity to Connect, Get Active, Take Notice, Learn and Give.

Membership

Membership is free and limited to up to 10 weeks per member so we can offer this opportunity to more people.

Members will also be signposted and linked to other opportunities such as activities, groups, volunteering, learning, and training.

Please fill in the membership form with your health-care professional (e.g. social prescriber, nurse, mental health practitioner, care-coordinator).
