Peer Support

We know how important it is to feel heard and understood. That is why we offer Peer Support,  so that people can connect through shared experiences.

The Holding Space is a gentle, non-judgmental online Peer Support space where you are free to show up exactly as you are — whether you feel strong, struggling, or somewhere in between.
You don’t need to fix anything or be anything. This is a space to feel heard, supported, and gently held — by each other.
You’re not alone here. We hold this space together.

What is Peer Support?
Peer Support is when people who have similar experiences support each other, often a shared experience of mental health challenges. In Peer Support no one is an ‘expert’, but instead, everyone plays an equal role in listening to and supporting each other.
Do you offer other types of peer support?
If you are part of the Wellbeing Network – you can ask your Mental Health Coach to refer you to The Peer Pathway. The Pathway offers a Peer Leadership course and practical monthly workshops. It is an option for people looking to build confidence and gain new skills, support others with their mental health and wellbeing, or to take steps towards volunteering or employment.
If you are under the care of the Waltham Forest Mental Health & Wellness teams – you can ask your key worker to refer you for a Peer Support Worker.
