IRIE Mind

At MindCHWF, we are committed to helping those most marginalised to get help and support around their mental health.

It was recently found that suicides among black teens have risen 71% in the past decade, with anxiety and depression now most prevalent among black women. To help address the imbalance, Mind CHWF has created a targetted service for the most marginalised in society to gain help and support around their mental health.

What is it?

  • Easy to access Advice, Information and Support Walk-In Centre
  • One-to-one support sessions, therapeutic groups & activities and complex casework
  • Crisis intervention and prevention work, particularly for clients at risk of self-harm, hospitalisation, incarceration or offending behaviours
  • Practical support and referrals to facilitate greater access to meaningful participation in the wider community
  • Early Intervention and Prevention

Who’s it for?

Irie Mind is a service designed to help and support marginalized and at-risk residents of Hackney. Through a range of groups, we aim to provide a safe space for black and minority service users of Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest.
