Black, African or Caribbean IAPT Trainee Psychological Therapy Practitioner and Referral Co-ordinator to work in a Black, African and Caribbean Wellbeing Service – 7.5 Hours Per Week – SC2- SP12 £23,014 pro-rata including Inner London Weighting
IRIE Mind is a Black, African and Caribbean Service designed to Champion and Promote positive Mental Health within the Black Community.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Mind in the City, Hackney, Waltham Forest to join our Psychological Therapies and IRIE Mind’s Black, African and Caribbean Wellbeing Service, as an IAPT Trainee Psychological Therapy Practitioner and Referral Co-ordinator.
The post holder will support the IAPT service to offer advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers and will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
Working on the front line of mental health, the post holder will provide a safe environment for clients to explore their issues, and promote awareness around mental health and wellbeing, within the context of a screening and assessment process. The post holder will support to promote the service and provide outreach to increase referrals for people with anxiety and depression currently not accessing the service.
